5199e-clocktower_students_-_160kb-scaled1000Are you a post grad who really wants to get a head start on your research? Check out the short workshops we have available at the Library to help you make the most of your research experience:

  • 14th April: Library Support at Otago – an interactive introduction to services and resources.
  • 16th April: Managing your references – a hands-on workshop on using Endnote in conjunction with Library resources (basic level).
  • 21st April: Bibliometrics – tools that explain impact factors and ranking for what to read, and where to publish.
  • 23rd April: Surviving your thesis – An interactive workshop on thesis preparation, including copyright issues, submitting, and depositing.

As there are Divisional differences with the Bibliometrics and Using Endnote with Library Resources sessions, you will be directed to either a Science/Health-Science or a Commerce/Humanities session depending on your department

All sessions are from 10am-11.30am, and venues will be confirmed after you register. Please register using the following form – places are limited! http://www.otago.ac.nz/library/onlineforms/classes/postgradclasses

Equivalent sessions specifically for Distance students will be held. Email judy.fisher[at]otago.ac.nz

If you can’t make any of these sessions but would like to find out about an individual session, please contact your subject librarian.
